My Half Century,

On July 18th, I became 50 years old! Wow, I have packed a lot in my 50 years of life. I have also suffered a lot in my 50 years of life, however, here I am! Only by the grace of God I carry on. I had a killer party with a bunch of my friends from both sides of the border. It was amazing, live music by Dino & Rugerrio, a world class paella, regional & California wines, games, fireworks, friends and family. It was a very special night and I thank God, my family and my wonderful friends. here is a link where you can see the photos.

21 things about Luke that you might or might not know

1.He was born in Long Island, New York.
2.He was named after Luke in the bible. His mom was reading the book of Luke when he was born, He’s glad she wasn’t reading Ruth.
3.His middle name is Andrew, after one of the apostles.
4.He won his first mountain bike race at 35 years old.
5.He jumped out of an airplane 2 miles high, skydiving. Woohoo!
6.His favorite food is Lasagna & mashed potatoes. (not together)
7.Two years in a row he won 2nd place twice in the state in Mtn Bike racing State championships. And 3rd place once.
8.He has competed in 70.3 ironman events, and half marathons. He has finished every race he started except one, (he broke 5 bones crashing).
9.He wrote a book and had it published.
10.He started high school when he was 19 years old, graduated at 21.
11. Broke his back jumping off a 65 foot cliff into a Lake.
12. Had an article he wrote published in a national magazine. (Mountain Bike Magazine).
13. Accidentally burnt a house down to the ground. Then lied about it for 22 years.
14. Had a baby boy named after him in Michigan. (which puts the pressure on him to be good).
15.He met the whole 1987 world champion Washington Redskins football team.
16. His favorite drinks are Sweet Ice tea, Coffee & Water.
17.He has visited over 493 cities in 7 countries.
18. He became an ordained minister in 1999
19. He’s a Los Angeles Dodger fan.
20. Once met the whole cast of TV show; MASH
21.He met John wayne in Ensenada and got his autograph
