A couple more things...

Went to the Airplane museum on the way home from Riverside. Sammy loved it. I love this picture. Check out the name of the plane...

Also, thinking about buying this car 1941 Packard... But my good buddy keeps asking me why?

Simi Valley

Well here I am in Simi Valley, the safest city in California, or so they say.  No cartel, drug guys chopping your head off or federales shaking you down for 20 bucks. So I guess it's safe. Been busy lately.  Near the end of March I was in Winston-Salem for 5 days attending a missions conference, it was great! Below is me speaking in English, signing in ASL and the man standing next to me is translating into Spanish. A tri-lingual service.
I then flew to Seattle for a meeting that got cancelled, which was OK because I flew back to San Diego on first class with Virgin air. That was a blast.  Richard Branson got it right. All airlines should be like his. Had a 4 hour layover in san Francisco, so I took the train to pier 39 and had a clam chowder.
Yummy. Saw a big head.

I got back to the Ranch in time to hang out with a wonderful group of people from Oregon. then I was off to Riverside, California Baptist University for a screening of "Hearing Everett". They put us (Josefina and sammy went with me), up in a very nice swanky hotel. The Mission Inn.  It even had a special place for little boys.
The movie screening was nice and my wife made some new friends and had a fun time.
I'm gonner stop now, because, this is getting all jumbled up.

The latest...

Well today is Wednesday. Last weekend I was in Riverside for a movie screening at California Baptist University. It was a very cool outdoor screening, so a shout out and thank you to Daniel Blair for making it happen. A few people stood up after the movie and dedicated their lives to Jesus. Yay!
While there we (my wife and Sammy went with me) stayed at a very cool hotel, you would think there wouldn't be anything in "downtown" Riverside, but downtown was actually pretty cool. We stayed at the Mission Inn, a very cool very old castle looking hotel. Pretty swanky. This place was huge and a maze, I don't know how management keeps up, there are so many rooms, nooks, stairs, patios, hallways, restaurants,  and etc. I bet you there are people hiding out living there that no one knows about. I bet Osama is hiding there.
Photos to follow soon.

My trip to North Carolina

Now that I have "deactivated" my Facebook account, I have more time to update my blog. So here goes, sorry for the long hiatus.
I recently went to Winston-Salem (I guess they couldn't make up their mind which name to use), to a large missions conference. It was great, the people were very nice and I had a wonderful time. I love going back East,  One of my favorite parts of going back east is the Waffle House. What an interesting piece of America.

It has been waaaayy too long...

What the heck, I can't believe I have not updated my blog since March, but I've been busy OK!, but right now I'm sitting in a very crowded airport waiting to fly to Sacramento, but it's too foggy outside for planes to fly. I didn't you you needed to see to fly, thats what radars, microwaves and stuff are for. Stupid fog. What am I gonner do in this airport for 2-3 hours? Huumm, maybe I can update my blog. See if I find any interesting pictures on my computer and stuff. Lets see what I can come up with...

The Latest

Here we are, March 22nd, the day before Easter Sunday. Where have I been since my last blog:
Arizona for 6 days. I was part of Palmcroft Baptist church missions conference. It was great. had big fun. Hung out with some awesome fellow missionaries, got to know more members of the church and over all had a great time. Thank you friends. Didn't get to go to a Sun's game though because SHAQ showed up and screwed that up for me. There always next year when everyone will be bored of him by then.

I was then in Simi Valley for 2 days, spoke at Cornerstone church, and stayed with my good buddy Spencer. Also got to visit with Francis Chan and had a great visit (his wife makes yummy brownies).

While there I went to the Ronald Reagan library. That was awesome. Didn't see many books, but what a great piece of Americana. the actually Airforce one presidential plane is there, I took some pictures inside before security rushed me and told me to stop taking pictures (I guess I should have read that little piece of paper they gave me before I got on). I highly recommend you see the library next time you are in Simi Valley.

Virginia

"Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones." Psalms 116:15
I am writing this with a heavy heart. Monday we buried a wonderful person, Virginia Castaneda Suarez, she died of a series of strokes one week after her 34th birthday. I've known Virginia since she was 6 years old when she came to live here at Rancho Sordo Mudo. She grew up here, learned a language, obtained an education and learned about Jesus and accepted Him into her heart here. She met her husband here, got married here. They moved to Ensenada to work with the deaf adults there. They have two children Leilani 6 (I am her godfather) and Jeremiah 4. She was a neat person, loved the Lord, loved her family, hard worker and I loved her laugh, which she did a lot. Now she's dead which I can't understand, I know she's in a better place and all that, but what about her family, her kids? I know people die every day all around us, but I don't know those people, I don't feel a crushing sadness in my heart for them like I feel for Virginia and her family. And I am struggling with this seemingly untimely death. I am at loss for words.
DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"
I can't wait for this to happen.
