Our first day in Dublin, Ireland.

Well here we are, I can't belive it. yesterday Wednesday morning at 11:30am we were in San Diego, Now we're standing on the OConnell bridge in downtown Dublin. pretty cool. After unsuccesfully trying to sleep on the plane, which is hard when you are 6'3 and the seats we're made for the hobbits on the plane, we groggly arrived. Took the cool double decker bus to the hotel (pictures of the hotel later). We went for a walk, here are some of the sights:

O'Connell Statue (My cousins are O'Connells)

It still has not really sunk in that we are half a world away. Josh was tired in this picture, but he is having fun. But it's pretty amazing. Everybody smokes here! and lots of pubs.

Below are just a few pictures of our first few hours here.

This was my first stop when we arrived in Dublin: COFFEE!

You already look like a native ! Especially standing next to Daniel O'Connell. Hope you're having fun. The Millenium Needle was erected to celebrate the new century and has been christened with a few choice names - most too inappropriate to share with a man of the cloth - you'll probably hear them all . . . have fun . . . Slainte !
